This blog is dedicated to provide current information, buying guides, and operational instruction for the Saeco line of espresso machines. Posts will continue to be added and should cover all of Saeco's espresso machines.
Saeco is a leader in the home espresso machine market. The company is based in Italy and was founded in 1981 by Sergio Zappella and Aurthur Schmed. In addition to the home espresso machine line of products, Saeco also designs and produces coffee machines for professional use and automatic vending machines for hot and cold beverages.
In 1985 they had their first fully automatic espresso machine for the home on the market.
In 1999 Saeco acquired the Gaggia brand of espresso machines.
In 2001 the Saeco Incanto came onto the market as the smallest fully automatic espresso machine.
In 2003 Saeco came out with it's SBS brewing system (saeco brewing system). This system allows you to make a variety of coffee drinks by just turning the dial on the front of the machine. The SBS dial adjusts the strength and extraction for each cup brewed, putting you in full control.
In 2004 Saeco developed the widest touch screen display available on an automatic home espresso machine.
In 2007 Saeco was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award for design excellence. This award was given for the design of the milk island and touch screen that is available for the Talea line of automatic espresso machines. The milk island is a container that holds milk and can be connected on the outside of the machine. The machine will automatically draw milk from the container, steam it and dispense it into your cup for that perfect cappuccino or latte. The Talea Line was developed with the help of BMW Group DesignworksUSA.
Over the years Saeco's passion for excellence and innovative designs have pushed them to the top of the espresso making industry. Today they are a leader in the fully automatic espresso machine for home use.
Saeco is the world's largest producer of espresso machines, coffee grinders, and related items. Because of this, they have been able to stay ahead of the competition for innovation and performance. They offer espresso machines that will fit anyone's budget and needs. See why so many people choose Saeco for their espresso making needs.
